The Headland Team Discuss their Favourite Christmas Memories

It’s that time of the year again where the silly season is upon us, so we sat down with some of the Headland team to talk all things Christmas. And of course we asked what they’d hope to receive on Christmas day.

Annaliese Kloé, General Manager for Headland Machinery-

My favourite part about Christmas is spending time with family and eating Christmas ham. I love spending the christmas holidays camping in the Australian outback as it’s beautiful, relaxing and the perfect way to avoid the hustle and bustle of a busy city.

For Christmas this year I would love to receive a Garmin Forerunner watch, so hopefully Santa has been listening.

But, one of my favourite Christmas memories would have to be that time Richard and I received a table tennis table. I remember waking up and finding a clue tied to a piece of string. We had to follow the clues all around the house until eventually we found our present in the garage. It definitely made my day.

Richard Kloé, General Manager for Headland Machinery-

It’s nice to spend Christmas with family and friends. If I can sneak in a cheeky round of golf, that’s always good too! You can work up your appetite for lunch.

I love snow skiing, so it’s the perfect time of year to ski overseas if you can. The runs are much longer than Australia and the snow is always better quality. We love skiing in Colorado as it has so many ski runs with lots of variation in skill level, so everyone can ski the mountain and it’s rare that you can ski the whole thing.

For Christmas I am hoping to get some new skis. However the one thing  I love on Christmas day is Mum’s Christmas ham with honey glaze. But when there is Christmas ham there has to be oven baked potatoes, can’t beat that!

My favourite Christmas memory is German christmas, celebrating on Christmas eve.

Trevor Cole, Sales Engineer VIC-

My favourite part about Christmas would have to be relaxing with family members; eat a little, drink a little and chat a lot. Just spending quality time with family and friends is definitely a highlight.

Bali would have to be my favourite Christmas destination. We have many friends over there so it is nice to head over and see them and simply spend time away relaxing.

Peace and relaxation are my main focus on Christmas day. Presents are not important to me, it’s more about spending time with family.

My favourite meal to eat on Christmas day would have to be roast pork with crackling and all the nicest vegetables.

I have one favourite Christmas memory in particular. There was one time when I had arrived back in Melbourne on Boxing day after 6 months in England and surprised a large family gathering. It was priceless!

Anthony Mitchell, Sales Engineer NSW-

My favourite part about Christmas would have to be watching my son Luke and daughter Mia excitedly open their presents. Relaxing and spending time with family is also a highlight; plus eating delicious Christmas meals like Roast Pork and Turkey, can’t go wrong!

My favourite holiday destination would have to be Madrid in Spain. It is definitely an amazing place to visit.

If there was one thing I would love to get for Christmas it would have to be a Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet, but I think I might put Santa out of business with this request.

One of my favourite Christmas memories of all time would have to be playing in the snow with my brother and sister on Christmas day with my mum & dad in England.
