Planar 2D allows manufacturers to quickly verify product quality by performing 2D inspections, CAD comparisons and reverse engineering in seconds.

Inspect or Reverse Engineer Parts

Flat parts that have been punched, stamped or manufactured by laser, plasma or water jet cutting can be inspected or reverse engineered.

How Does it Work?

Parts are placed on the table. With a single click or scan of a barcode, up to 40 million edge measurements are taken in 0.1 seconds using a high resolution camera. A report is automatically generated including measured data, nominal data, tolerance information and indicating all PASS/FAIL items.

Planar can be extended to 2.5D by adding the SurfScan option or full 3D with the addition of the Opti-Scan 3D.

The Planar 2D P43.100 is a cost effective model in the Planar 2D range. This model is small enough to be used in an office and is plug & play, requiring no onsite installation by an engineer. The P43.100 can inspect  2D part in around 4 seconds and reverse engineer parts in around 30 seconds. Download the Spec Sheet.
