First KUKA Robot Training – Sydney

We had the pleasure of interviewing a few attendees of our first Sydney based robotics training session. Here’s a few comments about the day.

Dominic Rhodes (Strategic Engineering Automation & Robotics)

H: “So what did you enjoy most about the four day basic KUKA Training program at Headland’s new training facilities? ”

DR: “I enjoyed most learning about how to program, so that the robot responds the way you need it to.’

H: “Why did you do the course?”

DR: I am a robot integrator and it was suggested that I did the course to further my knowledge about programming in general and also about KUKA robotics.

H: “Would you recommend the course to others?”

DR: “Definitely, in four days I certainly learnt a lot of valuable information that I can benefit from straight away in my job”.

H: “What was the best thing you learnt, that you can apply straight away in your work?”

DR: “How to simplify programs with KUKA’s programming aids.”

David Spiteri (Project Engineer from GWA Bathrooms and Kitchens)

H: “So what did you enjoy most about the four day basic KUKA Training program at Headland’s new training facilities? ”

DS: “Learning how to operate and program a KUKA Robot”.

H: “Why did you do the course?”

DS: “It was recommended to me by my manager, I am expected to be involved in the programming of robots. KUKA is the first preference of robots in our business, so its important that I know all the programming details on KUKA”.

H: “Would you recommend the course to others?”

DS: “I would recommend the course to others. As my background is not in programming, I did find the course fast paced and I had to keep up with the speed. But it was good to be in a room with mainly programmers so I could also learn off their experiences in the workplace”.

H: “What was the best thing you learnt, that you can apply straight away in your work?”

DS: “Safety around robots, basic jogging and programming”.

Greg Bryant (Caroma)

H: “So what did you enjoy most about the four day basic KUKA Training program at Headland’s new training facilities?”

GB: “Learning about something I thought I knew a lot about until I did the course”.

H: “Why did you do the course?”

GB: “I suggested that I do it, there are not many robotic experts in our business so I need to be on top of it all”.

H: “Would you recommend the course to others?”

GB:  “For sure, I would highly recommend the course”.

H: “What was the best thing you learnt, that you can apply straight away in your work?”

GB: “The biggest thing I learnt, was that the most basic function of the robot can make programming simpler”.
