Annaliese Kloe, joint Managing Director of Headland Machinery, spoke on the panel at the Advanced Manufacturing Summit (AMS) in Sydney last month, discussing the topic “can Australian Advanced Manufacturing thrive by considering the approaches of other countries?”
Advanced manufacturing is the future of manufacturing, both in Australia and worldwide, with innovative industries such as biotech, pharmaceuticals and medical devices appearing to be expected leaders.
The third Advanced Manufacturing Summit saw discussions regarding the potential of manufacturing of cutting-edge technologies to produce desired outcomes for the Australian economy, which in turn, has elevated its importance on the public policy agenda.
The Advanced Manufacturing summit delved into how the Australian economy can be transformed by advanced manufacturing, developing more sustainable, globally competitive manufacturing industries and companies. Further topics highlighted were the importance of innovation, leveraging relationships, and how small to medium enterprises must be connected, collaborate and entrepreneurial.
