The Maxiem 1530 is Increasing Efficiency for CSIRO Hobart and Keeping Scientific Research Alive

With over 31 years experience in marine engineering, David Kube and his team at CSIRO Hobart, manufacture parts used within the scientific research and development sector.

Working with over 300 scientists, the team at CSIRO manufacture any product that they require.

“Anything the scientists want, we make; whether it is underwater cameras, moorings or equipment for sampling, we create it” Mr Kube says.

Manufacturing products for the marine industry requires David to always be on top of the latest trends and innovative technology.

“Keeping up with the latest innovations is essential to producing a quality product,

“In this industry we are always looking for new materials and technology that will better the products we create,” Mr Kube says.

Recently CSIRO Hobart purchased a Maxiem 1530 from Headland and David says it has definitely helped with efficiency and quality within our production.

“The Maxiem 1530 has changed our process and how we approach our problems,” Mr Kube says.

“We can do complex and intricate shapes on any material,

“The waterjet has saved us heaps of time, reduced cost as we aren’t wasting materials and it’s extremely efficient which is what we want in our industry,” he says.

The Maxiem 1530 waterjet can cut virtually any material quickly and efficiently, maximising profitability.

As far as abrasive waterjet technology goes, the Maxiem 1530 has impeccable accuracy and cuts materials with extreme precision.

Headland and CSIRO Hobart, have been working together for about a year and David says, the service that he has received from Headland has been great.

“The level of service from Matt is great and the sales team at Headland are excellent which has made the process easy,” he says.

CSIRO go above and beyond for scientific research and David and his team, are allowing the research to continue, with their specially crafted apparatuses.
